Fortis Green Fund Update & Investor Closing

CommonGood Capital is proud to partner with Fortis Green Renewable Green Fund I, aimed at acquiring renewable energy investments to increase access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy to the over 600M Africans (52%) that still lack access to power. As we approach the fund’s closing date on July 31st (current minimum is $150k but the fund advisor has discretion on accepting lower minimums), we celebrate the incredible momentum of Fortis Green Renewables – now encompassing 31 assets across 6 countries.

Fortis Green is transforming communities by providing power to businesses, schools, churches, hospitals, apartments, and households. The fund’s impact includes 454,000 households connected, 35,100 MWh of electricity generated, and 18,800 tons of CO2 offset to date.

What’s next for the fund?

  • The continued development of more energy projects scheduled from existing investments in the fund.
  • With capital raised between now and the close- Fortis Green Fund I anticipates investing in one, if not two, additional renewable energy projects.
  • Once the fund closes to new investors it’s anticipated that distributions will commence to investors.
